Saavn app for Windows 10 now lets you sync downloaded songs across devices

The Saavn app for Windows 10 has received an update, and this one adds a feature that might save you a lot of data on your internet plan.

Saavn for Windows 10

Saavn is an American company focusing on the Indian market by providing its users access to music from Bollywood and the several other regional music and film industries across the country. It’s catalogue offers songs in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, and a lot more.

While Saavn does offer a paid subscription plan – Saavn Pro – it also offers much of its catalogue for free. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Saavn is Spotify for India – which is great since Spotify isn’t available in India. Saavn Pro doesn’t even cost much – at ₹99/mo it is probably one of the cheapest music services around. That’s a mere $1.4 at today’s exchange rate, by the way.

Since Saavn is targeting India with its content, it would make sense for it also to target the subcontinent in terms of features. The new version 3.1 of the app does just that; you can now sync the music you download for offline play, across devices.

So now, you can download your favourite tracks from Saavn on your Windows 10 PC, and sync the downloaded content with the Saavn app on your Android. Saving you data, thus time and money.

This sync works with all of the apps Saavn has – both iOS and Android. It also works the other way around – if you have already downloaded music on your phone, you can now sync it from your phone to the Windows 10 PC as well.

The app is available right now on the Windows Store; not only is it available for Windows 10 on PC but also Windows 10 Mobile and HoloLens. We can’t tell how the HoloLens experience works, but it sure does sound interesting, to say the least.
