At Computex 2019, MSI introduced a bunch of things out of which two were laptops – MSI GE65 Raider and the MSI GT76 Titan. Both of these laptops bring a lot of power in different form factors.
The MSI GT76 Titan comes in two different variants. The GT76 Titan DT 9SG comes with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with 8GB GDDR6. This isn’t the laptop version of the GPU, you will get a full-fledged desktop GPU in a laptop form factor. The other variant, GT76 Titan DT 9SF, comes with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with 8GB GDDR6 and that’s the only difference between these two variants.
Both of these variants have a desktop class GPU in the laptop form factor and this means that MSI had to do some interesting engineering to cool these things.
MSI mentions on their product page that the design of the laptop has been inspired from an exotic car and this definitely shows in the design of the laptop. You have a metal mesh cover below the laptop to allow the air to cool this beast and the cover is made out of aluminum. The laptop has a very solid feel to it which is also helped by the weight that it carries.
The cooling vents are large and the laptop isn’t shy of showing it. The vents also help the laptop maintain the design language that MSI is using for this laptop. It also has RGB lights all over including the keyboard.
Talking about the specifications of the laptop, the 9SG and 9SF variants have only one thing different – the GPU. The 9SG as mentioned above comes with a desktop version of the NVIDIA RTX 2080 while the 9SF comes with NVIDIA RTX 2070 which is also desktop class. Other specifications as mentioned below are common.

As you can see, MSI has made sure that the laptop has laptop class specifications for the ultimate performance for mobile gaming. The GPU being desktop class when coupled with a 9th Gen Intel Core-i9 processor definitely becomes a powerhouse.
The MSI GT76 Titan is a laptop that does everything a desktop can in terms of performance without caring about anything. It is massive and it is also heavy but it performs like a monster. One can buy it as a gaming machine or one can use it as a desktop replacement, in both of these cases, the Titan comes on top with the performance.
