Microsoft offers 150$ gift card with select Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 models

Microsoft is giving buyers a 150$ gift card as their latest promotion – the caveat: it only applies to certain models of Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, from the Microsoft Store.

The Microsoft Store is giving a 150$ gift card to those who purchase a certain model of Surface Book or the Surface Pro 4 – specifically: the one with 256 GB SSD, an i5, and 8 GB of RAM. For Surface Book, this also includes the dedicated GPU in the keyboard.

These models aren’t exactly cheap, though, as the Surface Pro 4 costs 1,299$, and the Surface Book costs 1,899$.

The offer lasts until October 1st, 2016 – or until the ‘supplies last.’ The gift card you receive will also expire on 19th September 2017 – so you have one year to spend it. You can get the gift card as long as you make your purchase at the Microsoft Store – retail or online – in the U.S.

Microsoft Store is also running a different offer for the Surface Book with 128 GB of storage,  an i5, and 8 GB of RAM. This model will cost you 1350$ rather than it’s original 1499$ until October 1st, which saves you 150$. This model, however, doesn’t qualify for the 150$ gift card offer. There’s no way for you to get 300$ out of this.

Remember, the Surface lineup might actually get a refresh this October, so you might want to wait and buy the latest of what Microsoft will be offering, albeit at a higher price.
