Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Instagram apps now available for Windows 10

Back in October of last year, Facebook announced that it is working on a new app for Windows 10. Users of Windows 10 were eagerly waiting for the launch of this app and this wait finally came to end today. The Social Media giant, Facebook today launched its much awaited and all new Windows 10 apps for Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. This should be noted that these new apps are fully based on the Universal Platform and there are chances that you won’t be able to use some of these apps on your PC or phone.

Facebook has been the hottest topic in last few years and no doubt, it is one of the most visited places on the internet. The brand new Facebook app for Windows 10 will completely change the way people use Facebook on Windows. This new app is faster, efficient and will improve the experience of Facebook on Windows.

The app features Live Tiles which allows a user to check feeds at a glance. Thanks to the in-app browser, reading and writing is now a breeze. Other major features are reactions, stickers in comments, and notifications so that not a single update go unnoticed. There is also a column at the right side which shows birthday, event reminders and all the trending topics.


One of the best features of Messenger app for Windows 10 is the desktop notification. This new feature will make sure that you don’t miss any important message. You just need to pin the app to your start menu and you will start getting notifications of new messages with Live Tiles. Other important features are photo sharing, stickers, group conversations and GIFs.

Instagram is slowly turning out to be the next big thing. More and more people are signing up for Instagram and it is becoming bigger day by day. The new Instagram app for Windows 10 mobile offer features like direct messaging, account switching and updated search and explore. Just like Facebook, Instagram will also support Live Tiles.

The app supports live tiles which means you just need to pin the app to the home screen and you will start getting the notification from Instagram directly on your Windows 10 Mobile home screen.


All the three apps are now available on Windows Store to download and are completely free to use. It should be noted that the new Facebook app will automatically replace the existing Windows desktop Facebook app as soon as the update rolls out in the store.

Facebook and Messenger apps are currently available for Windows 10 desktop & tablet users but Facebook is trying to bring them on smartphones as soon as possible. The Instagram app will replace the existing Beta version of the app on Windows 10 Mobile.
