Microsoft has started rolling out Windows 10 Build 14965 to Insiders on the Slow Ring – this build was published last week for the Fast Ring Insiders. The update for Slow Ring is only rolling out to PC, for now.
It seems Microsoft is skipping this week’s Fast Ring Insider update, and instead opting to upgrade the Slow Ring Insiders.
The latest update to Slow Ring introduces many of the features from Fast Ring – including the virtual touchpad from last week, the several Windows Ink and Precision Touchpad improvements as well as the narrator improvements from previous Fast Ring Insider builds.
Last week also saw a whole bunch of improvements to the Sticky Notes experience, with support for many more languages and locales – such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, France, and India – for the advanced features.
It’s worth noting: this update is only rolling out for Windows 10 PC’s, and not for Windows 10 Mobile. Microsoft also hasn’t made available the ISO for this build yet – a release for both of these might be scheduled at some point soon, but when exactly that will happen can only be speculated.
If you want to have a look at what else is in Build 14965 – check out our coverage of the Fast Ring Insider update from last week; there is, however, one thing different, with the Slow Ring update.
The Language Packs for this build were delayed for reasons known only to Microsoft – these language packs are what allow users to change the language and locale for Windows to their choice. Along with the Slow Ring update, Microsoft has also released the Language Packs for the PC.
The rest of the build is identical to last week’s Fast Ring update – you can read our coverage of that over here, or over at Microsoft’s official blog.
