Microsoft is introducing ten new additions to the list of markets supported by Office 365 – bringing the total number of markets where Office 365 is available to 150.
Microsoft claims that Office is used by more than 1.2 billion people around the world – that’s the entire population of India, for scale – and the latest expansion is just going to add more to that number.
It’s unclear if that 1.2 billion number includes the Office Mobile apps or not.
Here’s a list of the ten new countries:

This expansion not only brings the total number of markets for Office 365 to a round figure of 150, but the number of languages supported by the Office suite is also at an astonishing 44. That’s a lot of languages to support – Microsoft has worked hard on making sure the Office suite is not only available but accessible in these different markets.
The new expansion also required work on the payments side of things – supporting new payment gateways and currencies isn’t always easy.
There is one tiny caveat, though: not every market gets the same features; Skype, for example, does not provide its free 300 minutes in every market where Office 365 is offered. Of course, the price also reflects this in most cases, but it is something to be aware of.
If you are in a market or region where Office 365 is not yet supported, Microsoft might have some good news for you in the coming year; Microsoft plans on adding 97 new countries to the list of supported markets over the next year.
