Disable the Power button on the Login Screen in Windows 10

1. Launch the Registry Editor.

For that, type regedit in the Start menu search bar. In the results look for regedit run command. Once you find it, click to launch the registry editor.

2. In the registry editor, you need to navigate to the following registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\

3. Here you need to look for the DWORD value named as unlockwithoutlogon.

4. Once you find it, double-click on it and change its value data from 1 to 0.

In case, unlockwithoutlogon DWORD value is not available in the list, then you need to create it manually. For that, create a 32-bit DWORD value named as unlockwithoutlogon and leave its value data to 0.

Note: If you’re using 64-bit Windows operating system, still you need to create 32-bit DWORD value.

5. Once done, exit the registry editor.

6. To apply the changes you need to sign out of your computer. For that, right-click on the Start button-> Shut down or sign out-> Sign Out.

After successful sign-out, you will no longer see the Power button on the Login screen of Windows 10.

Tip: To get back power button of the Windows 10 login screen simply change the value data of unlockwithoutlogon value to 1 or delete the value.
